My Story

About Me

My passion for hairstyling began early, inspired by my grandmother and sister, who were both hairstylists. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2010 after spending years practicing on friends and family. From the pom pon squad to show choir, musicals, and prom hairstyles, high school solidified my love for this career.

I specialize in creating low-maintenance hair color that maximizes your investment. For brides, my goal is to help you feel like the best version of yourself—confident, carefree, and able to soak up every moment of your special day.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve grown so much as a stylist and continue to seek opportunities to learn and grow. When I’m not doing hair, you can find me trying new food recipes, strength training, shopping local and spending time with my husband Ben, our kiddos Brooks (4) and Chloe (2) and our dog Ace. I can’t wait to connect and learn more about you!

Why The Brushed Lilac?

The name of my business has a special meaning tied to my wedding day—a day filled with happiness, surrounded by the people I love most. I have fond memories of getting ready with my girls, who were in beautiful lilac colored dresses. I strive to bring that same sense of connection to every person who visits me, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a regular day.
